We need your help!

Volunteer with Cleveland Public Library Foundation

We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals and groups to lend a hand. This is a perfect opportunity to meet and work with other book lovers in the Greater Cleveland area.

Volunteers at Cleveland Public Library benefit the library community in many ways.  We welcome your involvement and offer a variety of volunteer opportunities to match your interests, skills and availability including:

  • Gift Shop:

Help customers find merchandise. Handle payments at our register. Keep the shop clean and tidy. Answer basic customer questions about the shop and the Library. Being comfortable with running cash registers and the Square point of sales software is helpful, but volunteers will get trained.

  • Book Sorters:

Sorting and shelving books, DVD’s and CD’s at our Memorial Nottingham Lakeshore  Branch sorting facility.  Items are then used to stock our gift shop, upcoming book sales, or go to our partners at Thrift Books for re-sale (all proceeds benefit Cleveland Public Library programs)

Done in a Day Group/Corporate Volunteer Project

Volunteer groups (10 -15 individuals) can help us sort and box books at our Memorial Nottingham Branch facility.  Our Done in a Day Project last approximately 2 hours and are ideal for volunteer groups and corporate volunteer programs.  VOLUNTEER GROUP REQUEST FORM
