Cleveland Public Library Foundation Celebrates #GivingTuesday

This #GivingTuesday, the Cleveland Public Library Foundation will celebrate giving by hosting a special social media campaign to bring awareness to all the many ways the Cleveland Public Library supports our community, providing ACCESS, INSPIRATION and OPPORTUNITIES.

#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities, and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, this year’s #GivingTuesday will take place on November 30, 2021 and will kick off the giving season by inspiring people to collaborate and give back.

I always knew from that moment, from the time I found myself at home
in that little segregated library in the South,
all the way up until I walked up the steps of the New York City library,
I always felt, in any town, if I can get to a library, I’ll be OK.
It really helped me as a child, and that never left me.
So I have a special place for every library, in my heart of hearts.
